Today, this blog post will be discussing about a unique and creative boyfriend gift that has its roots in Singapore. I am sure this is a gift that will never disappoint in any way!
GoFlyKite (RC) kites are remote control kites that have no strings attached to them, and they are highly manoeuvrable, crash-resistant and easy for everyone to learn.
The GoFlyKite (RC) kites are able to do air stunts such as somesaults, do stall turns, hover in confined space, and more. In one of our Singapore’s National Day Parade, GoFlyKite (RC) kites were one of the highlight events, where seasoned pilots make their kites do acrobatic stunts and great moves in the air for our national day celebration.
Unlike regular kites, that can only fly during the day as we can only see them with sunlight, GoFlyKite (RC) kites have lights built-in on them, and they look pretty fancy at night!
There are many different kite models to choose from, and you can visit this url to see their product range: http://www.goflykite.com/products.html

Many kite pilots gather at Clarke Quay, Singapore, at an open field to practice their skills with their kites. I once brought my girlfriend at that place, and we spent the night just gazing at beautiful night sky colored with many spectacular colored kites!
It looked truly fun and I was eager to try it, however it carried a heavy price tag: SGD$600, which is about USD$431 now.
However it looked too beautiful to miss it, and I will want to buy one for my girlfriend and myself when my finances allow in future.
Moreover, it does create a rather romantic moment where a couple could just gaze at the stars with their kites, and enjoying the moment with each other. A truly great gift isn’t it?
GoFlyKite (RC) kites is a Singaporean invention, created by a guy named Michael Lim. Michael barely passed his Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) started his career as a jeweler at the age of 20.
Somehow Michael was interested in flying, and soon at the age of 42 years old, he combined his hobby with his profession into a business. Michael started without any professional training in aero modelling design, and as he persevered, soon his dream became a reality!
Any reader who is interested in getting a GoFlyKite (RC) kite can go to this url: http://www.goflykite.com/contact.html One can email them about their sales, product enquires and such through the url given.
I’m sorry I am not able to provide any more information about GoFlyKite(RC) kites, as their website doesn’t give much details, such as their product pricing and such. When one day I get my hands on to one of these kites, I will post up a detailed review on it.
This is definitely an expensive gift, as USD$431 is a hefty price to pay for a gift. However, I encourage anyone to get such a unique gift for your love ones, and at the very least, for yourself!
Of course, buy this gift only for very important occasions to fulfill.
If you have a GoFlyKite (RC) kite, what are your experiences with it?
