Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas: Personalized Candy Bottle

Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas: Personalized Candy Bottle

Today I am going to share with you some easy ways to create your own personalized chocolate or candy bottle for your boyfriend or husband.

In my previous post on “Christmas Gift for Boyfriend: Personalized Chocolate Candy“, I suggested on buying from M&Ms personalized chocolate candy for your boyfriend.

However, if you are really low on budget, you could just create one for your boyfriend or huband too!

It’s definitely cheaper, and will help you not burst your pocket if you are planning to many Christmas gifts for your friends and family as well.

I am not saying I can help you print faces or messages on candies; that’s beyond my means.

My girlfriend had a good friend that gave her a personalized candy bottle.

It wasn’t made of M&Ms, but Skittle. You can use Skittle if your boyfriend or husband has cravings or inclinations for sweet and sour taste.

It’s probably not my type, but choose the type of candy that suit your boyfriend or husband properly. Otherwise your Christmas gift will be left collecting dust in his room.

Isn’t it simple to create this Christmas gift?

First, get a very good looking glass bottle. IKEA sells good looking glass bottles, or if you go to your favorite department store to look for fancy glass bottles.

Then, buy lots and lots of M&Ms or Skittle.

I am not so sure if you should mix and match, because they are different sizes and shape, so I do not know how it will turn out.

You can always experiment it, but chances are having the same size and shape of candies with multiple colors will work well.

After buying lots of candies, just separate the colors you have, and then put it into the bottle according to the color.

And there you have a personalized candy bottle for your boyfriend or husband!

Other advice and tips

Tip #1: The look of the bottle will determine the overall impression of the gift.

Please don’t scrimp on the look of the bottle if you are out to impress your boyfriend or husband!

Besides, since the bottle is inedible, your boyfriend or husband could use it to put some of his stuff in.

So effectively, you are buying a nice bottle with colored candies as a bonus!

Tip #2: The more colors you have, the better your personalized candy bottle will look.

Of course, if you are going to use different brands of candies and mixing them, do take note of the size and shape of the candies.

Different sizes and shapes may change the outlook of your bottle.

And please consider your boyfriend’s or husband’s taste!

Tip #3: When you are giving the personalized candy bottle, do not shake it, and tell your boyfriend or husband not to shake it!

That will mess up the orientation of the bottle, and your colors of your candies may be mixed by the shaking.

What you can do is to make the candies in the bottle as tight as possible, by squeezing in as many candies as you can, and then put some resistance by putting cotton wool on top or something.

That will help to limit anyone from messing up your gift by shaking.

Final words for this post

This personalized candy bottle can be used for other occasions, such as the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

If you have a guy that you like, and you want him to be your boyfriend, but you do not want to buy an extravagant gift for him for fear that others or he will find out, this gift is certainly decent yet safe enough for giving.

And it can be given for Christmas or even Valentine’s Day.

Anyway, that’s it for this post. Stay tuned for more boyfriend gift ideas!
