There are gifts that need no occasion to give and they are inexpensive. In this post we are going to discuss about a particular gift that can be given to your boyfriend or husband at practically any occasion.

However, this gift which I am talking about, is best when your boyfriend or husband is going away for a short trip, and both of you will not be able to meet for awhile. As this has happened to me before, my girlfriend made a little effort of reminding her love for me, and it does make me remember her during my short trip.

I am talking about a love journal as a gift.

I received a love journal from my girlfriend while I was on a short trip to Thailand and Perth due to some personal matters.

What is a love journal? It is actually a small notebook or even a set of love letters where love notes are written and each love note is specifically dated.

How was the love journal dated? It was dated according to the days while I am away. For example, if I were to fly off from Dec 12 to Dec 19, my girlfriend would write a daily journal from Dec 12 to Dec 19 for me, a total of 8 notes inclusive of the day of departure.

So for every day during my trip, although I was not physically with her, yet her words were by me all the time. Sweet isn’t it?

Also, as it is a daily love journal, I am not supposed to look at the pages that are beyond the current date again. This keeps me looking forward to see what has she written for the next day.

Loving girlfriends and wives, you should try this creative boyfriend gift out.

Other tips and advice about the gift

You can always give your boyfriend or husband a love journal when you are not able to meet him for a short period of time, let’s say he is going away for a company retreat.

Do tell your boyfriend or husband not to peek at the love notes beyond the current date that is in.

Also, if you have the time, decorate your love journal and make it look good. It will be appreciated by your boyfriend or husband.

I think the number one question for a love journal will be, “what do we write for our boyfriend or husband?”

If you happen to know his programme or schedule during his short trip, or if you have some programmes to ease time off while your boyfriend or husband is away, you could picture yourself into the future and start writing briefly about it in your love note.

For example, lets say you are attending a birthday party while your boyfriend or husband is away, you could write, “Hi darling, I will be at Ann’s birthday party today. Will be missing you. I am wondering what you will be doing at this point of time…”

It may sound cheesy and stuff, but hey, it’s between you and your boyfriend or husband; noone else knows about it! So there is nothing to be shy about.

Love quotes are fantastic for a love journal.

Poems are also good to go for a love journal, but please don’t over do it; unless your boyfriend or husband is extremely artistic or something.

I do appreciate those love journals given to me by my girlfriend, and it was real fun reading on her thoughts for that current day during my short trip.

It may require a little effort on your part to write something for your boyfriend or husband, but it is well worth it when he remembers you during your trip.
