Today I am going to share about another homemade gift idea for boyfriends and husbands, and it is another gift made by my dear girlfriend.

Well, it happened on 2007, I was lamenting that I didn’t have an organizer to organize my schedule and happenings. My girlfriend took note of it.

Then, one fine day, my girlfriend gave me an organizer. However it wasn’t any organizer that you could get from a bookstore.

And that is because it was a homemade organizer, and my girlfriend made it herself!

In order to show you what does the organizer look like, I have taken photos of it. All the photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

On the right is the cover page of the homemade organizer. As you can see, it is an empty notebook that you can get at any bookstore easily.

Loving girlfriends and wives, if you want to make an organizer for your boyfriend or husband, it is a good idea to choose a notebook to start from that has a theme which your beloved may like.

My girlfriend chose this theme “on wings of hope”, and overall it suited me very well!

I received this gift before June 2007, and I don’t really remember there was any occasion to it.

As you can see above, at the first page my girlfriend pasted a mini-sized calendar, from June 2007 to May 2008. She was trying to follow the features of a normal organizer, which is a great idea.

The organizer given to me was only for half a year, from June 2007 to Dec 2007. It was rather short for an organizer though, as my girlfriend was saying it was tough to get a notebook that really has alot of pages.

Tip: So if you want to make an homemade organizer for your boyfriend or husband, get a thick notebook that has many pages. Choose a smaller notebook if your boyfriend or husband doesn’t like to carry bulky things.

From above I have flipped to a page of my organizer, and you can see that lines are neatly drawn to mark out individual days, the current month is at the top left hand corner and the year is at the top right hand corner.

Also, not only the individual dates are given, my girlfriend actually marked out the specific weekday on every individual date (i.e. Sunday for 4th Nov 2007 etc).

I really liked how my girlfriend made this organizer for me. The area to write notes and schedules for each specific day is generous, unlike many conventional organizers which like to put in as many features as they can in one small page.

Hence I get to organize my organizer in whatsoever ways I want.

My girlfriend only put 3 days in one page for the organizer. It is a good idea to notice what your boyfriend’s or husband’s likings are, and implement them into your homemade organizer for them.

It is quite a difficult gift to forget for me, even though it is more than 2 years ago since I received this gift. This is because this is the best organizer that I ever had, and it is custom-made.

Near the end of the organizer, my girlfriend added a section called “Notes”, as you can see above. I used it to make notes for lecture in school, and it is useful!

Tip: A homemade organizer does not need to be complicated like conventional organizers. A simple and clean organizer that suits your boyfriend’s or husband’s likings will do the trick.

Other tips and ideas

For your specific holidays and events for your country, you can always mark them out in the organizer that you are making for your boyfriend or your husband.

Also, do try to make a organizer that covers one whole year. The Internet is a great place to get a calender for upcoming years.

This is a simple yet relatively easy homemade gift idea for your boyfriend, and you can give him an organizer in almost any occasion!

The upcoming Christmas is a good idea to start making your homemade gift!

Only, be careful of how you draw the lines and mark out the details of the organizer. As a simple mistake on a page cannot be easily erased, patience and concentration is needed to make this homemade gift.

And do note, if you are doing a homemade organizer that is going to cover the entire year, please do not start making this gift at the last minute.
